I've purchased my first DSD recording -- what do I do next?
Answer
DSD is different from the normal PCM digital audio you may be used to, so you will need some software that is compatible with DSD.
We generally recommend trying
JRiver Media Center
for Windows or
Audirvana
for Mac systems. Each of these has a trial version available so hopefully you can see how it works for you.
DSD playback is also somewhat dependent on the hardware available on your system and strictly speaking true DSD playback also requires a DSD DAC, though most DSD capable software also provides conversion that allows playback on most any system.
